A true selvedge denim icon - this is the Cone Mills 1968. The most you can ask from a great selvedge denim is that it starts out beautiful and gets even better over time. As you can see from this well worn pair, the 1968 absolutely delivers.
Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from Cone Mills. The 1968 was somewhat of a premium denim company darling. It was used by many and there's a reason for it. It sneaks up on you. It seems unassuming at first, but when you see the beautifully rich indigo shade and crisply starched raw feel you know you're touching classic quality. 20oz denim is cool. Super light denim is fun too. Let's face it, the 13.5oz sweet spot is a winner. It works year round and that's what you get in the 1968 - it has great body. We used this fabric as we were developing the skinny fit and knew we had to get our hands on more than just sample yardage. This is authentic, classic selvedge denim at its best.
This is the same style and quality that was sold in boutiques all over the country for $205+.

"These jeans are beautiful. I really love the look and feel of the 1968 denim, and I think these pants look really great on. They sit a little lower on the waist and tighter in the seat than I thought, which I'm not excited about, but I know that they will fit better as I wear them in, and they are already feeling better than when I first put them on. I just need to put my phone in a jacket pocket if I'm sitting."

"Great creasing after two weeks wear, I chose not to cuff, so a touch long for my liking. Quickly becoming my new favorite pair, however I’m a slim guy and I find the slim fit a bit tight in the hips/pockets, IPhone is definitely back pocket in these. I ordered my next pair in regular fit to see if they’re any better."

"Needless to say, any pair of Cone is an instant classic, and the 1968 sits right in the wearability - ruggedness - look sweet spot. I settled for the straight fit to pair them with cowboy boots. The match is perfect, and highlights the superb Gustin's straight cut. I do own slim straights, too, which I love pairing with boots and sneakers. Both fits suit me well, but there's something very appealing about Gustin's straight cut in terms of comfort."

"I received my 68's a couple weeks ago. Trust the fit guide on waist measurement. I had mine hemmed due to the 36 inch inseam as I'm a 32 and not big on the cuffed look ( at least not as much cuff as I needed for the right length). Looking forward to getting them broke in and a nice fade going. Trying to hold off on the first wash!"
